Work directly with Pavel.

Pavel Bukengolts is a UX and product design leader, educator, and founder of UX Design Lab. He works directly with startups and established teams on product direction, design, accessibility, and delivery problems. Pavel leads each engagement from the first call through key working sessions and reviews. When a project needs added specialist support, UXDL brings in trusted people for that work while Pavel remains responsible for the main decisions and recommendations. He also helps founders turn early ideas into tested product direction and prototypes for investor conversations.

Product work, accessibility, and team experience.

UXDL combines hands-on product work, accessibility programs, team leadership, teaching, and mentorship. That mix keeps the work practical and helps client teams make stronger decisions after the engagement ends. AI can accelerate parts of the work. Pavel keeps product decisions grounded in user needs, accessibility, risk, and real delivery constraints.

  • Enterprise and startup product work

Product direction and hands-on design for early ideas, complex systems, and high-stakes services.

  • Accessibility and delivery systems

Practical ways to reduce risk, improve reviews, and build accessibility into the work.

  • Teaching, leadership, and mentorship

College teaching and volunteer mentorship that keep the practice connected to real questions and changing expectations.

How engagements usually run

The shape changes by client, but most work follows the same pattern: understand the problem, do the highest-value work first, and provide ongoing support only when it helps.

  • Week 1

    Diagnose

Clarify the problem, constraints, and right starting point before the team invests in the wrong fix.

  • Weeks 2–4

    Build

Start with the highest-value work: product direction, design, accessibility, workflow, or a focused working sprint.

  • Ongoing

    Guide

Support key reviews, decisions, standards, and follow-through when the team needs it.

Bring the problem. We will help find the right starting point.

If the issue crosses product, process, accessibility, AI, or team capability, the first call will focus on what matters most and what should happen next.
